Electric Totems is a two-man orchestra, where mechanics and electroacoustics are combined as expanded conventional instruments and strange inventions.
Behind the construction and operation of these imaginary totems are Pierre Bastien and Dr. Truna.
Known for his orchestra of machines made like Meccano pieces, PierreBastien works on the border between plastic arts and music, following a long tradition of building stringed instruments such as soundboards.
Dr. Truna is the pseudonym of the musician and composer Andrés Blasco Ramos. Creator of a sonic and visual imaginary of instrumental dystopias, his work has been focused on two main areas: the creation of new instruments and the composition of a particular sound, musical and visual language.
